c.pCO

General characteristics
The c.pCO universal programmable controllers offer specific new functions for improving efficiency in HVAC/R systems, particularly:
- networking capabilities, thanks to the integrated Ethernet interface (IPv6 ready), which supports a wide range of standard protocols for local connectivity (Web server via HTTP or HTTPS, Modbus TCP/UDP, BACnet IP/MSTP, FTP, FTPS, DHCP, DNS, mDNS, NTP, OPC UA);
- flexibility of use, with multiple product sizes available (small, medium, large, and extra-large), I/O expansions, universal inputs/outputs, and USB ports, ensuring high performance even in demanding operating conditions;
- integration of driver for control of bipolar electronic expansion valves with ultracap technology, guaranteeing stepper electronic expansion valves close in the event of power failures;
- connectivity, providing more demanding designers with up to 5 serial lines, 3 of which always available and configurable in terms of protocol (CAREL or Modbus®) and type (FieldBus or BMS), and 2 optional, again configurable in terms of protocol (Modbus®, BACnet™, CAREL, KNX) and physical support (RS485, Ethernet,KNX). Standard USB "Host" and "Device" ports for programming the c.pCO using a standard USB pendrive, or direct connection to a PC without requiring serial converters.
The c.pCO controllers are available in models that can be programmed using the c.suite or STone development environments.

Plus
Programmability
Depending on the model, c.pCO can be programmed using the c.suite development environment or the new STone development environment.
Security
Cybersecurity is a priority, and is constantly guaranteed on c.pCO controllers through periodic security assessments. The STone-based models are in fact designed in line with the IEC 62443 standard, integrating advanced features such as secure boot and digital signature with asymmetric encryption system.
I/O Flexibility
Up to 10 universal I/O channels, allowing custom arrangements of inputs/outputs. Thanks to the CAREL proprietary ASIC chip, the universal channels can be configured independently as analogue inputs, digital inputs or analogue outputs.
Advanced connectivity
Up to two built-in Ethernet interfaces for fast exchange of variables between controllers (100 Mb/s), galvanic isolation, client/server, multi-master and multi-protocol architectures on the same network (variable exchange, tERA connection, Modbus TCP/IP to the touch terminal, etc.) and daisy-chain network of multiple devices without needing to use external switches. The c.pCO models also come with three serial interfaces (FieldBus or BMS), two ports for optional expansion cards, and two USB ports. Choice of a wide range of communication protocols (e.g. Modbus, CAREL, BACNet, Konnex, TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, DHCP, DNS, NTP, SNMP). STone-based models natively feature connection to CAREL apps.
Energy saving
c.pCO medium model embeds up to two electronic expansion valve drivers with optional Uptracap module, for integrated energy saving management.
